- In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce or aminos, garlic, and ginger. Add the beef and mix well. Let beef marinate at room temperature while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
- In a skillet add 1 tablespoon sesame oil, and caramelize onions and carrots over medium heat until the onions are translucent. Remove onions onto a plate. Once pan is heated again, add another tablespoon of sesame oil and add half of the beef in a single layer. Let it sear, stirring slightly until slightly pink in the center, 2-3 minutes. Removed beef to the plate of onions. Repeat with second half of beef.
- Once the remaining beef is seared, add the previously cooked beef and onions back into the pan. Then add the broccoli. Cover with a lid and let it steam while you prepare the next ingredients.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the broth and arrowroot powder. When the broccoli is cooked through, make a well in the center of the pan and slowly pour in the broth. Stirring for a few seconds between each addition to prevent clumping.
- When sauce is thickened, it is ready to serve.
Notes
Coconut aminos and soy sauce can be used interchangeably in a 1 to 1 ratio.
